“Tansor Playgroup has been a wonderful setting for both of my girls, giving them independence and confidence before starting school. They love all the craft activities and forest school – I love the early drop offs and friendly, caring staff.”

“The warmth and kindness of the team is evident as soon as you walk into the playgroup setting. Their experience and approach have exceeded my expectations and George has thrived in confidence from this safe and stimulating environment. He eagerly looks forward to his time at Tansor and it is always a challenge getting him to leave!”

The Tansor Playgroup Ethos

At Tansor Playgroup we promote:

“learning through exploration and play.”

We nurture a love for the outdoors in our garden, and during our woodland sessions at Glapthorn Cow Pastures.

We believe parents are the first educators and that parents know their child best. Using the parents ‘about me’ forms completed by parents on Tapestry we recognise a child’s starting points on entry.

We believe it is important that children feel a sense of belonging and that they build relationships with the adults looking after them. Developing their well-being.

We nurture a child’s confidence and self-esteem, as this in turn improves resilience, and helps children with the belief “If at first you don’t succeed try and try again!

We provide activities that challenge, enthuse and promote a thirst for future learning so that children are enthusiastic learners when they start school.

We strive to develop and expand the children’s language and communication skills in everything we do… especially by promoting a true love for books!
