Our setting is a Registered Charity and as such is managed by a Volunteer Management Committee.
Committee members are elected by the parents of the children who attend our setting, and elections take place each year at our Annual General Meeting.
The Committee makes up the Registered Person for Ofsted, and members are individually Trustees of the charity.
The Committee is responsible for:
Managing our Playgroup’s finances;
Employing and managing staff;
Ensuring we implement policies that help us to provide a high quality service;
Ensuring that we work in partnership with parents.
The Annual General Meeting is held in the Autumn Term each year, and is open to parents of all children who attend our setting. In addition to electing committee members, the AGM is our shared forum for looking back over the previous year’s activities and for shaping the coming year’s plan.
